Mulled Green Tea and Cider Recipe

Hot and fragrant, this healthy drink will warm you to the core. Our green tea is sweetened with apple cider and warming cinnamon. All of these ingredients contain antioxidants that neutralize the DNA-damaging free radicals that wreak havoc in our systems. The green tea and cinnamon also stabilize blood sugar, and calm the fire in arthritic joints.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-natural apple cider

Instructions

  1. Heat the water, cider and cinnamon sticks in a pan. Turn off the heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-6 minutes.

    Serve in mugs with the cinnamon sticks.

    TIPS AND NOTES:

    If you like more spices add whole cloves, star anise or a sprinkle of nutmeg. Try with other teas like chamomile or white tea.
